Strands: desarrollo de tecnologías de recomendación y personalización

La empreas Strands se dedica a desarrollar tecnologías de recomendación y personalización para ayudar a la gente a descubrir cosas nuevas. El sistema de recomendación de Strands es capaz de aprender de forma automática los gustos de las personas y cómo sus preferencias evolucionan con el tiempo, en definitiva, una forma de inteligencia artificial. Se puede utilizar para generar recomendaciones en tiempo real en un gran número de los dominios. La actividad de Strands se inició en paralelo en Bellaterra (Barcelona) y Corvallis (Oregon), fundada en 2003 por Franciso J. Martin cuando se encontraba en la Oregon State University como investigador visitante. Se creó como spin-off del Artificial Intelligence Research Institute del CSIC y fue financiada por Sequel Research, SL
