In Next Web people explore and discuss on opportunities related to web 2.0, semantic web and semantic technologies applied to the web, Web 3.0 and, in general, evolution and future of the Internet.
The community discusses the future of the web and the way in which the set of technologies enabling internet will influence the development of the socio-digital life, the building of the digital identity of people and organizations, and the acceleration of learning social processes. All thanks to the exercise of simultaneous sociability and access to ubiquitous information and intelligence.

Link a una presentación (en inglés) de la empresa Ontotext, por Atanas Kiryakov, que introduce de una forma sencilla los principales conceptos de la web semántica: qué es, cuáles son los lenguajes que utiliza, los principales obstáculos que se encuentran en su desarrollo, una introducción a RDF (con ejemplos) y algunos links relacionados. Termina con una revisión del "estado actual", pero hay que tener en cuenta que la presentación es del año 2003, y con unas conclusiones, entre las que afirma que "no hay alternativa a la web semántica, pero tiene problemas, sólo necesita tiempo para desarrollarse".
