    Summary

    The GoodRelations ontology (http://purl.org/goodrelations/) is one huge success story of applying Semantic Web technology to business challenges. In this tutorial, we will (1) give a comprehensive overview and hands-on training on the conceptual structures of the GoodRelations ontology including patterns for ownership and demand, (2) present the full tool chain for producing and consuming GoodRelations-related data, (3) explain the long-term vision of linked open commerce, (4) describe the main challenges for future research in the field, and (5) discuss advanced topics, like access control, identity and authentication (e.g. with WebID); micropayment services (like Payswarm), and data management issues from the publisher and consumer perspective.

    El E-Business and Web Science Research Group de la Universidad de Munich está trabajando en los desafíos inherentes al uso de la World Wide Web en el ámbito de las interacciones económicas tanto en lo referente al intercambio de bienes tangibles como de bienes intangibles. El núcleo principal de su investigación está centrado en el uso de las tecnologías de la  web semántica para E-Procurement y Business Process Management.

     

    We are a young team of researchers with backgrounds in information systems, conceptual modeling, economics, computer science, and related disciplines. In our research, we work on the theoretical and practical challenges of using the World Wide Web for facilitating the exchange of tangible and intangible goods between economic actors, and economic activity in general. Our core research interest is employing Semantic Web technology for E-Procurement and Business Process Management.

    Semantic Web Company es una empresa fundada por Andreas Blumauer que presta servicios de consultoría para la construcción de la web semántica en las organizaciones. Ofrece servicios específicos en el campo de los campos de las ciencias de la vida, la medicina y los cuidades médicos. Trabaja en el campo de la formación, impartiendo seminarios y cursos de formación. En la web pueden encontrarse las últimas noticias sobre la web semántica y sobre el movimiento Linked Open Data, un repositorio de documentos y referencias bibliográficas sobre la misma, así como referencias a los principales eventos que vayan a celebrarse sobre el tema (si bien ésto ultimo muy centrado en lo que sucede en centroeuropa). La página está muy trabajada y actualizada. Útil para aquellos que quieren estar al día sobre el desarrollo y evolución de la web semántica.
