In Next Web people explore and discuss on opportunities related to web 2.0, semantic web and semantic technologies applied to the web, Web 3.0 and, in general, evolution and future of the Internet.
The community discusses the future of the web and the way in which the set of technologies enabling internet will influence the development of the socio-digital life, the building of the digital identity of people and organizations, and the acceleration of learning social processes. All thanks to the exercise of simultaneous sociability and access to ubiquitous information and intelligence.

Austin Haugen y Paul Tarjan, ambos de Facebook, hablaron sobre el protocolo Open Graph en la reunión Silicon Valley Semantic Technology de 2010.Explicaron el uso de metadatos básicos, como los que describen una película, y metadatos más ricos, como los que (geo)localizan a una persona.Los objetivos del diseño del protocolo son: Que sea útil a otros, además de a Facebook. Que se pueda copiar y pegar. Marcado y Esquema sencillo.

El servicio SemanticTweet.com te ofrece a tus amigos y seguidores en Twitter en un documento FOAF."SemanticTweet is a simple web service that generates a FOAF RDF document for you from your list of Twitter friends and followers (or more specifically, from the 100 most recent of each of your friends and followers). It does this using the Twitter REST API. This service uses public Twitter data only, and so doesn’t need your Twitter username or password".
